I feel like YMMV on the Nora/Ren entry for RWBY. She doesn't mention viewing them as anything more than friends (the whole finding him handsome thing seemed to be her trying not to be offensive, not showing attraction), and it seemed more like a Ship Tease for now.

I've done some cleanup on the wicks, but I couldn't identify roughly a third of the wicks either way.

How is this trope any different from the "Romantic Childhood Friend" blanket of Unlucky Childhood Friend, Childhood Friend Romance et al?
