what happened to that really cool image with the T-Rex on the main page?
Now that the tropename has been changed to Outside Context Problem, is it safe to put in "real life" examples?
Don't give me that look. Hide / Show RepliesI've seen some examples of Outside Context Problem in some sections like the Crusades, where it talked about how the Muslims caliphates saw the Crusaders in the First Crusade (1094 - 99 AD) as this. So I think it's safe to assume that you can put some real life examples but they've got to be specific.
Edited by AtaulfVIIPeople are doing it regardless, and the couple of examples so far are perfectly good.
Ceci n'est pas une signature.I remember there were some examples of nature butting into wars, such as the crocodiles in Ramree Islands during WWII.
I got my political views from reddit and that's badSo "Outside-Context Problem" encompasses both "Hero" and "Villain" now?
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh. Hide / Show Replies
I don't think this article should forbid real life examples since it has nothing to do with morality. And there certainly have been real life examples - see for example the encounter of Aztecs and Inca with Europeans.
