It`s built on the "Our X Are Different" pattern, with some variations being based on an attribute near-universal to that monster type - Our Ghouls Are Creepier, for example. It doesn't imply that some ogres aren't hungry.
The vilest deeds like poison weeds/ Bloom well in prison air/ It is only what is good in man/ That wastes and withers there.
This trope should be called "Orges are Hungry" instead of implying that normal orges aren't hungry and some pieces of media make the orges hungrier, the way some media make vampires less dangerous and more romantic.
