Let me get this straight, banshees are always depicted as being evil screaming beings and this trope completely goes against the meaning of Our X Are Different?

I'm pretty sure "Our X are Different" tropes aren't allowed to snowclone away the word "Different", but also I'm legitimately not sure what the trope trying to be described is. The description talks about the contrast between folklore and pop culture but never actually makes a statement about which part this trope covers.
