Seriously? Interesting. I am an aspie and I grow up being the only boy in my generation with my female cousins and a sister. I supposed that explains why I feel more comfortable interacting with women. It's not that I have problems having guy friends, but is only I tend more often to have female friends.

Is there a gender-inverted version of this trope?

I don't know if there is a trope for that, but the possibility exists for such a character.
Related to this trope, I read in a medical book somewhere that a number of Aspies like to pal around with the opposite sex. They are already foreigners in any social situation so going where the rest of the gang expects them to be foreign and makes allowances can take stress off.
