The Demon Knights (the Slayers) in Slap Up Party Arad Senki (anime version of Dungeon Fighter Online) were mistaken for bad luck and potential harm.

- The same could be said for the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz, too. All she wanted was her dead sister's ruby slippers back. Sure, she ended up being pretty nasty towards Dorothy near the end, but could you blame her?
Is this to say that all Non-Malicious Monsters are non-sapient when Pokemon are mostly non-malicious and yet some of the monsters such as Lucario, Mewtwo, Zorua, etc. can speak human English? Or in stories on Deviant Art (as much as I hate that godforsaken site) about monsters with clear anthropomorphism?
Removed two examples.
- Boku no Hero Academia: This is arguably how Midoriya sees Bakugou, people tend to think of Bakugou's harsh attitude and destructive potential as villainy and seem unable to trust him as a future hero, Midoriya though holds him in great respect, specially regarding his strength, determination and wits, but refuses to put up with his attitude after a while.
I don't watch this show, but Examples Are Not Arguable.
- Poor, poor Gendou Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion. All he wants is to be reunited with his dead wife. It's just that the only way to accomplish this is to set off The End of the World as We Know It.
As stated in edit reason, when you sacrifice everyone for your own personal gain, it's evil act. Else we can add even a cutthroat robber. "He just want money, it can't be help that the fastest to gain money is robbery. And since he don't want to get arrested, he has to kill his victim too."
Hide / Show RepliesNeither quote seems usable.
Robbie isn't an example. He isn't actually misunderstood no matter what he thinks. He's an Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain and everyone else knows it.
But I'm a simple rotten guy, Who's just misunderstood"
This doesn't come from a scene of misunderstood villainy or even a character being seen in a bad light. In the scene Eddie and Jessica are engaged in some flirting. I believe the subtext is something "I can't help being a foxy temptress but I'm married". Something like that. You could argue that fits the trope in the broadest sense but a quote needs to be relatively straightforward and punchy.
