Do we really need the detailed, point-by-point deconstruction of every historical era ever? It seems rather long and unwieldy. Could it not suffice simply mentioning that every historical era is affected by this trope?

It also feels rather nitpicky, especially for the decades after the 70s. I'm sorry, but people caring about how a musician dances and wears during the 80s is no where near as comparable as slavery or the Holocaust.

I move that the Plato quote be removed from the Real Life section, as further research suggests that Plato probably never said it. Or anyone from his time for that matter. As a matter of fact the evidence suggests someone made it up for a Psychology book in the fifties.

If someone made it up for a book, it could be moved to Literature under an entry for the book in question, I guess.
