I think we should specify that it's not as much of a mistake when people say that the brain only uses about 10% of its potential rather than saying 10% of its actual processing power.

pleasant appropriate greetings: excellent suggestion silver wings(<10% processing brain power) in order to find the right answers, we must ask the right questions. after reading some of the posting, about our clear and present dangers (can't right amount of brain performance syndrome) 360 degrees brain misused. the right question should be, what would influence our brain performance? the answer is simple ,although simple don't exist anymore, what is our daily vitals!, full spectrum of requirement for sustaining our life force more specific our brain life force?....... think of the brain performance is measured by performance levels scale: 1 to 100. the brain is able to perform on the lowest level setting...for further info please THE UNIVERSE HANDBOOK FOR HUMANS: ONLY available @KINDLE.COM

No, it is totally untrue that we use only 10% of our brain's potential.

This exsists only because someone misinterpreted that humans normally only use 10% of our brains memory capacity through our lives.

I've often wondered whether it would be possible to have the brain equivalent of a computer worm or virus, or perhaps of SETI @ Home, which would hijack the unused processing power in a person's brain and move out of that section again when the rightful owner needs it....

The stuff that makes up most of this article's description sounds like good science, but it also doesn't have lot to do with describing the trope. Just say the myth isn't true and elborate at most a little. Even putting it in a "Real Life" section might be more appropriate. I'm not sure I want to touch this by myself, though.

I trimmed some of it, turned a couple of clauses into single words, put one into a hottip.
