Can the Gate anime series add to the list. The empire still using sword to a gunfight even tho they already knew about their weapons.

Is this trope (and while we're at it, its inverse as well) limited to guns, or does it apply to melee vs ranged in general? For instance, if someone gets into a fight with a sword and is immediately shot down with arrows, does that count? The trope's page and examples seem to focus a lot on guns (which makes sense given the trope name), but it's also true that Tropes Are Flexible.
