Why is the water creature in the trope image not an example? I see portrayals of it in a lot of Japanese works, so I'm sure it may be some Youkai nobody listed in TV Tropes yet.

I'd rather let someone else do the adding as I'm still new to the site, but In the last season of ATLA Aang uses the water to make a fish-like monster, albeit as the good guy.

I somehow don't think that making a monster out of water counts as this trope - it's about water being the monster.
