The entry on Burn after reading seems to be a spoiler. I haven't seen it so I don't know when its revealed the info on the cd is mundane.

It's not a "revelation" at all, but always there in plain sight. Requires a tiny bit of real-world awareness of how Washington works, perhaps, but you can probably reach the same conclusion just from the demonstrated fact that Malkovich's character is obviously an alcoholic loser of no great rank or distinction.

Reworked the Antiques Roadshow example to nuke natter, but feel free to improve on my version. Original preserved below:

  • A large part of the fun of Antiques Roadshow is seeing gullible idiots come in with their treasures and find out that they are utterly worthless. The looks on their faces, however, are priceless.
    • "A large part of the fun" for MOST people is seeing someone come in with something they think might be valuable, or a family heirloom that they just want to know what, if any, value it may have, and finding out it's worth a fortune, large or small. Sheesh, I bet you're a joy to be around.
