"... or Pachelbel's Canon in D (or some other piece deemed romantic) plays on the soundtrack."

Has this, specifically, ever happened? Pachelbel's Canon has some "happy" sounding parts and is popular for weddings, but for a "Meadow Run" it would seem a bit weird, with the "happy" parts being quite fast and not exactly soaring.

Isn't this trope's name a tad too specific? The slow-motion-running-reunion theme gets used in a lot of places *besides* meadows (train stations, airports, prisons, supermarkets...). Unless I'm missing a parent trope for "Two people run at each other, arms outstretched."

I guess that falls under Tropes Are Flexible. It doesn't have to happen in a meadow, but meadows are probably most archetypal.
