How is Sparkster an example? I don't recall him ever being depicted as "radical" in the games, the box art, or any official art.

Removed Donkey Kong from the list. While he's a funny animal, he lacks the attitude in any of his incarnations to qualify for this (even if he did have a rap).

I have a quick question: would the Super Solver count as a Mascot With Attitude? The far majority of Super Solvers games involve at least some elementary platforming (with Challenge of the Ancient Empires and Gizmos & Gadgets being full-on platform games), the...interesting fashion choices of the Super Solvers mark the franchise as a child of the late 1980s, and the Super Solvers are indeed competent in a child-friendly context. I'm tripping over the parts about violence (which is, at best, sharply limited) and salty language (the Super Solvers rarely speak, with not even token efforts at Gosh Darn It To Heck when they do). Am I on to something here or have I fallen victim to Square Peg, Round Trope?
