Wierd question but can someone tell me were this trope comes from or how it evolved? I am just curios because if you look into it male magic user are a lot more common in myth and folktale. Almost to a point were it seems to normal for guys to possess magic.

Why is it that this trope says woman are more connected to magic, if this is averted in myth were male users are more common?

If magic is feminine, does this mean that chi and psionic are masculine? I mean, Chi is dependent on the strength of the physical body and psionic people are seen often as very logical, 2 trait common in man.

This page, like all tropes, is about how the idea is portrayed within a work.

It's not arguing a fact or judging whether or not the idea is valid.
