Dr House count as a Mad Doctor? He certainly experiments on his patients, is often unnecessarily cruel and callous, takes drugs and avoids authority.
Also the episode he thought he was hallucinating...

I'm updating the Character's Page for Hunt Showdown. Would William Salter count as a Mad Doctor? He's not a surgeon, but he proclaims himself one in his journal after he losses his mind as a result of turning into a grunt. I'm not sure there's a trope for "character loses their mind and declares themselves a doctor"
