I recall some movie which ends with the couple (having uncovered a conspiracy, perhaps some corporation illegally dumping some waste or something) in a bedroom, and a dialog that goes like:
- He: I promise that I'm going to play it safe from now on. *crosses his fingers*She: So do I. *crosses her legs*
(I can't remember which movie it was.)

If you have the matching image of her turned around with the crossed fingers to go with the second link, we could maybe combine them together.
This is strange. The page ends with 'Not to be confused with visually similar "fingers crossed" used as "Good Luck" Gesture.' I always assumed the crossed fingers in this trope *are* a desperate appeal for good luck; telling a big lie would call for it. The page's claim that adults wouldn't appeal for luck in such a way is also entirely wrong for older films, maybe even current ones. Back in the 80s, I recall many sober, well-adjusted adults being entirely serious about luck and doing little things to request it. The two most common 'little things' were crossing fingers and touching wood; which one they did seemed to be a matter of heritage.
