Why are images forbidden? There doesn't seem to be anything inherently NSFW or controversial about this trope.
Keet cleanup Hide / Show RepliesActually, I don't know.
I tried to look for an older discussion to see whether it was discussed before in Image Pickin' but I didn't find any previous discussion.
There are some options: you may start an IP discussion and include a question why there is this message on top of the page. Worst case scenario, the thread will not be opened.
You can write a message to Tropers/Willbyr. He's a moderator in charge of IP and he should be able to answer you whether it's ok to start a thread for this trope. Asking on ATT is also possible and more people will be able to say what they think of it.
Personally, I don't see why this trope would be problematic to illustrate. Just that there is a high chance of JAFAAC.
The fact that it used to be called "Deadpan Loli" may have something to do with it.
Keet cleanupWould there be an equivalent to this trope for little boys who snark a lot?
Edited by 192.168.2.171 Hide / Show RepliesNot as far as I know.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOut of curiosity, is there a Spear Counterpart to this trope?
Edited by DanMat6288 Hide / Show RepliesWell, technically this more or less refers to any case of Deadpan Snarker as a little kid. For some reason, either because it's usually female, or something, it came out with a gender-specific title. Personally, I don't know whether a snarky little boy (who happens to be a main character in a story I'm working on) would be this trope or another one, but I'll have to check.
Is there a cut-off age for this? Some of the characters listed- Carly from iCarly, for example- are teenagers, rather then little girls.
Hide / Show RepliesPay close attention to the second paragraph in the description.
Does the show's universe perceive the character closer to a kid (fits) or a young adult (doesn't)?
Edited by SpellBladeAnyone else want this to go back to the Deadpan Loli name? It flowed way better, and was entirely clear in what it was referring to.
Hide / Show RepliesI don't know about previous titles for this, but "Deadpan Loli" really sounds like it involves unnecessary Internet slang. It doesn't help that said slang seems to often be associated with its sexual connotations.
I don't "Deadpan Loli" is "entirely clear" in what it's referring to...
Would Susie Derkins from Calvin and Hobbes comics qualify? She seems to have a more sarcastic personality than Lisa from the Simpsons does...
"Little girl who is a Deadpan Snarker" isn't even really comparable to "Short Emotionless Girl". Yuki Nagato is a Deadpan Loli, but I wouldn't call her snarky.
