The young-looking but centuries-old vampire/wizardess Evangeline A.K. Mc Dowell of Mahou Sensei Negima! was a mostly played-for-laughs villain in an earlier arc, but shows her badassery in the Kyoto and Tournament arcs - her earlier weakness was explained away as affection for the hero.

A (much) later chapter has a character draw a humorous "Strength Table". The Demon God sitting at the very top? Evangeline (with Chachamaru's help) took him down in a little over a minute [and most of that minute was telling everyone around to make sure to watch her kill it]. Basically, after 22 volumes, the author is still saying, "She's really strong, so I can't actually have her fighting seriously yet. What is the name of this demon god?

As I mentioned in my edit of the article, (in such a way as not to appear on the article page, of course) the thread on the image was locked before I could mention Maggie. I didn't replace the picture, but I put a couple ones of Maggie there as alternatives. (Again, in such a way as not to appear on the page.) Namely, these◊ two.◊
