Everyone knows this trope is used extensively in the financial markets, right?....right?

I will laugh when you are in trouble! When they cry for help, I will not answer. -Jesus rebuttal to fools found in proverbs 1:26-28?

This troper think he remembers in a classic episode of "GI Joe" that there was a machine that drains a woman's facial youth and beauty and puts it into another older woman's face, but that catch was there had to be drainer and a drainee; the machine got short-circuited and cut the link to the drainee, leaving the drainer turned into a "faceless horror"? (the characters looked at the drainer and were aghast while she bemoaned the loss of her face)

Also, this troper was reminded of "Super Nerd Much?" from "Totally Spies" by his niece, in which the Cat's Eye Emerald ring landed in the hands of the resident Nerd, Arnold. He used the ring to take "cool DNA" from the people of Beverly Hills, leaving them "nerdified" as he gained the temporary boosts from doing so while turning more evil as well. Problem was, the more he used it, the more he needed the cool DNA, in which his grand scheme was drain it out of the entire Beverly Hills area. This trpper doesn't know if this also is a "wish-fulfulling genie ring" trope as it also gave him a cool gadget-laden car, a penthouse hideout, and the giant airship he needed to go over Beverly Hills.
