I inserted a paragraph explaining why certain characters have multiple copies of the same outfit in their closet.

"This joke is completely useless for the maintenance of this trope, except that it helps the child viewer avoid imagining that the character wears the exact same piece of clothing for months on end, without ever putting it in the washing machine, which would force the character to get naked while doing his laundry (on the other hand, with several identical pieces in the closet, it's easy to imagine that the character always puts one piece to wash while wearing another identical piece, in reserve)."

• Justified and lampshaded in this "ask the characters" strip of Girls With Slingshots.

because the strip it linked to doesn't seem to have anything to do with the trope, and I couldn't find one that did. If anyone knows what strip it should point to, please restore it.

A video game equivalent exists as Fight In The Nude, though as it will soon be renamed, perhaps we should wait before mentioning it on here.
