Follow up to anyone holding similar sentiments: a request to rename this trope owing to factual error was denied as a "personal gripe". I guess I should get a life.
This was the first thing that caught my eye. This trope is obviously misnamed - it's right aligned all right!
I wonder what this button does...Previous Trope Repair Shop thread: Ambiguous Name, started by scooter on Apr 22nd 2018 at 4:58:55 AM
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSome pagans, occultists, and new agers believe undine(water faeries/elemental spirits) come from an ocean located in a spiritual plane to the west of our realm.
Hide / Show RepliesThe element of water is connected with West; fire with South, earth with North, wind with East.
I deleted pretty much the entirety of the "Wheel Of Time" entry as it had descended into thread mode debating if the Westlands were modeled on Africa or Europe, and if they comprised a Northern or Southern continent.
Doesn't it bother anyone that this page misuses the term "Left-justified"? Left justified means aligned (justified) on the left side, ragged (bumpy) on the right; also known as aligned-left, flush-left, or ragged-right. That's the opposite of the phenomenon being depicted on this page. The correct term should be right justified, flush right, or ragged-left.
