More often than not, the mother expects the hero to be the father, but then it's revealed the hero isn't the father, the villain is. Bonus points if the villain tells the child: Luke, I Am Your Father. Cue the Big "NO!".

This may lead to a Wall Banger. But it can be done well, and it is Older Than Dirt.

there's no expatiation why this would lead to a Wall Banger any more than any other trope.
