Man should this trope be spoilered or not? Cuz there are a bunch of them that are and a bunch of them that aren't and this thing seems spoilery by nature.

I don't know that the Ramayana example should count. Sure Rama is a king, but Hanuman is a god. OK, Rama's also an Avatar of Vishnu. But it's not really a king bowing to commoner situation.
