It might seem strange to think this concept is Older Than Feudalism, but the Biblical character of Eve could be considered a prototype of a prototype to the jungle princess, as she checks most all of the boxes. Being depicted as European: despite how she would more realistically have been medium brown, this is how she normally looks in art. Living in a jungle: the Garden of Eden is often depicted as a tropical rainforest, which gets bonus points since most people consider the time before the flood an Age of Reptiles. Being an Earthy Barefoot Character, wearing vegetation and then wearing animal skins, all check out here with fig leaves and sheep skin. Some variations even depict these as bikini like. Talking to animals: she talked to a certain snake. In Harmony with Nature, with her husband of course, at least before they screwed up everything.
