Suppose the item/weapon in question sounded like a good idea at the time (for instance, a lighter for a pyromaniac), except...it's just a lighter, and of course, lighters make very poor weapons in the practical sense. However, this lighter is basically upgraded to a flamethrower that has the appearance and mass of a lighter. Lethal Joke Weapon? Subversion? Double Subversion?

Anyway, as far as a new Picture goes, I think Link's Bug-Catching Net and Shield
◊ from his Soul Caliber appearance seems fitting . . . seriously you trade out your sword for a net, the fact its pictured with the Hylian shield just looks hilarious.
A long-handled net used for catching bugs. Obviously, it is not a weapon, but perhaps it will cause opponents to let down their guard.

Comically large spoon. Pay Day 2. Exactly What It Says on the Tin . The spoon messes with the enemies in a number of ways, but since I don't have the game I can't describe it all, but the Youtuber The Russian Badger has a few videos on it. Not to mention developers put it in the game after his own crew's suggestion.
It is more on the Lethal Joke Item side than pure Joke Item, but still qualifies.
