Description of this is rather missing the point.
The Jesus Taboo has nothing to do with anime in particular and is the habit of avoiding directly facing the idea of Jesus and larger Christian theology in media while still using "religious" overtones.
Consider say the series Joan of Arcadia where God was a recurring character per say, but the show kept itself to comfortably secular humanist standards. Other cases would be say Touched by an Angel or 7th Heaven.
Will try to shore this up when I've got a bit more time.
Okay, I understand why Aedis Eclipse might have been removed (its JP version mentions Jesus, but in a hugely random capacity that has nothing to do with religion, positively or negatively), but why was Bible Black removed? It features mention of Jesus in a negative context in aversion of the trope. I've heard people suggest they're not saying Jesus and it's a subtitle error... but it certainly sounds like Jesus, albeit with the "e" pronounced in the Japanese manner.
Although, to one interpretation I've seen, Aedis Eclipse is actually a more valid aversion, since it is using it randomly, while Bible Black is at least in a pseudo-religious, vaguely-Christian-looking context.
