And Sonic the Comic depicted Super Sonic as the Mr. Hyde to Sonic's Dr. Jekyll, for some stupid reason. Super Sonic isn't even a character in the game, just a form! And, Sonic never had any problems with Chaos Energy in the games! Though Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has a line that pokes fun at this.

According to the Early Sonic Canon from Sega of America, Dr. Robotnik is the Hyde to Ovi Kintobor. But Sega of Japan never liked this, and ultimately vetoed it, in favor of Ivo Robotnik being his real name, and gave him the grandfather, Gerald Robotnik. Which makes more sense. Though I can see Ivo (as a reference to that outdated non-canon story) using the name for a Paper-Thin Disguise.

After watching later episodes of Kamen Rider Revice, I am wondering if Daiji Igarashi and his inner demon, Kagero, would qualify for this trope.
