Just thought of something. Wonder if it would count as this trope or something else. In several works (The French comedy The Closet and an episode of Arrested Development come to mind), a group of Japanese businessmen will show up as potential investors, and they tend to behave pretty similarly (no cameras, but the same taking things in in a deadpan way).
