I kind of want this to be pot holed from "Seen It!" as a reference to an episode in the New Mr. Peabody and Sherman show, in which a heckler annoys the titular characters, mainly by telling them that their show is stale and repetitive, alongside other attacks.

Looks like this page needs a bit of clean-up. Lots of examples are just "Show X used plot point/joke Y which they stole from show Z". To be a genuine example, the show has to LAMPSHADE the recycling.

Tolkien was inspired by pulp fantasy.. since when? I haven't been able to find anything about this- and I'm frankly OBSESSED with Tolkien's work.
