In the videogame Evil Genius, once the titular evil genius is laughted at by the UN after his ultimatum a countdown starts as he begins to assemble the rocket carrying his orbital Doomsday Device; if the countdown reaches "0:00" there's a cutscene of the rocket being lauched, the Doomsday Device activating and the evil genius Taking Over the World. Sounds like this trope right? well, the thing is you play as the evil genius, is your victory; would that make it an inversion of this trope?
