Zombieland. They use place names instead of people names. Definitely a coping mechanism. It takes saving Wichita's and Little Rock's lives in a Big Damn Hero way to earn W's name (but not her sister's; though of course they're not *both* the romantic interest). And then he brushes her hair back :)
Whoever helped write this seems to have a really negative view of this trope. Given that Tropes are Not Bad, I think I'll edit this.
