So there is this example.
- Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, current President of Liberia, and the first elected female leader in Africa. She has to be tough as nails; there's the threat of a coup.
- "(Averted by Brienne of Tarth, who is more like Virginity Makes You Stupid, but that's another matter.)"
Okay...then why is this listed? I'm going to remove it ASAP, but this entry just annoys me. It's just so random and has nothing to do with the rest of the page. If it's an aversion and "another matter", then it shouldn't have been added in the first place.
I'm a feminist whose life was ruined by TV Tropes.Hey, is it possible to add a 'Troper Tales' section to this entry? I work in an electric steel mill and the meltshop manager is a woman. Honestly. And she is the type of woman who can get shit done.
I have a problem with this line:
natural childbirth is the second-most painful experience anyone can have (the most painful is cluster headaches, but so few people get those, it's really not worth mentioning)
I suppose torture, evisceration, rape, and any number of other horrors aren't as bad as child-birth or cluster headaches? I have trouble believing that.
AbnormalitycomplexI think this is a cool trope. For one thing when well done it can be attractive though intimidating and even inspire a bit of a "crush" for a character. The danger is that in unskillful hands it can make a character into a Straw Feminist . But when well done it is quite cool.
