A culture and appearance are very different things, and these pages are the product of the All Asians Are Alike split, too.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThat's my point. The trope name references to culture, but the description of this trope and some of the examples cover things like WWII magazine articles on how to distinguish Japanese and Chinese people by appearance. I'm wondering if other people that is a case of misuse and there needs to be some rework of the description and moving of examples.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute. That's this trope because those are based around the idea that, to the layperson, Chinese and Japanese were seemingly the same (in both appearance and culture).
Identical-Looking Asians is about Asian individuals looking the same. If people are talking about not being able to tell a whether a guy is Chinese or Japanese, it's this trope.
For example: John can't tell Shinji and Chan apart: Identical-Looking Asians. John thinks Shinji is Chinese: Interchangeable Asian Cultures.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Fair enough, but I feel like in that case it needs another name, because the current names only references culture and the trope is broader than that.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute. It's an old topic, but I agree. If one looks hard enough they can find similar looking individuals in any culture. There is on; one human race. Not being able to tell individual's culture just by looking at their face isn't really the same as assuming someone is of a certain culture because of their face (or accent or whatever else)
That's why he wants you to have the money. Not so you can buy 14 Cadillacs but so you can help build up the wastes
Does this trope need to go to TRS? It seems to have a very fuzzy overlap with Identical-Looking Asians, because there are two tropes included in this one. 1) "Asia" is one big culture and 2) Asian people from different countries can not be distinguished from each other. While Identical-Looking Asians is mainly about confusing Asian individuals, it seems a better fit for the second type of examples than this one does.
