Hey, guys! I'm the only one that μ's team most notably Honoka Kōsaka, Kotori Minami, Suzuko Mimori, Rin Hoshizora, Maki Nishikino, Nozomi Tōjō, Hanayo Koizumi and Nico Yazawa looks like Emi Nitta, Aya Uchida, Suzuko Mimori, Riho Iida, Pile, Yurika Kubo and Sora Tokui, respectively? You should look at the links why the Love Live! characters looks like actual Japanese voice actresses. P.S I love how Demundo said "Seriously, the seiyuus looking as though they are smirking something really bad.", does mean it related to Uncanny Valley or something like that? Here's the example!

under the dreamwork properties for shark tales, this link contains a virus.
-The Weird OneThere are better examples for the page image than Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona from Shrek.
In increasing similarlity to their actors, there's:
- The emotions in Inside Out - especially Bill Hader as Fear and Phyllis Smith as Sadness
- Johnny Depp as Victor van Dort and Helena Bonham-Carter as the Corpse Bride (The Corpse Bride)
- Will Ferrell as President Business, Cobie Smulders as Wonder Woman, and Chris Pratt as Emmett Brickowski (The Lego Movie)
- Pat Morita as The Emperor (Mulan)
- Selena Gomez as Mavis (Hotel Transylvania)
- Cree Summer as Princess Kida (Atlantis: The Lost Empire)
- Alexandra Daddario as Dune Alpert (Battlefield Hardline)
- Tom Hanks as Sheriff Woody (Toy Story series)
- Will Ferell and Jonah Hill as Megamind and Tighten, respectively (Megamind)
- James Cromwell as Professor Callaghan (Big Hero 6)
- Christopher Lloyd as Grigori Rasputin (Anastacia)
- John Rhys Davies as Richard Winston Tobias (Freelancer)
- Ed Asner and Christopher Plummer as Carl Fredriksen and Charles F. Muntz, respectively (Up)
- Kevin Kline and Kenneth Branagh as Tulio and Miguel, respectively (The Road to El Dorado)
- John Goodman as "Big Daddy" (The Princess and the Frog)
- Irene Bedard as Pocahontas (Pocahontas)
- Kristen Bell as Lucy Stillman (Assassin's Creed series)
- Sarah Silverman as Vanellope von Schweetz (Wreck-It Ralph)
- Kevin Spacey as Jonathan Irons (Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare)
- Bonus points for Will Smith as Oscar (Shark Tale) and Danny deVito as Philoctetes (Hercules). The former character is a fish, while the latter is a Satyr from Greek mythology, but the characters still somehow strongly resemble their actors (other non-human characters don't look so similar to their actors)
Edited by CH4S Hide / Show RepliesIf you think one of these would make a superior image then you might want to start a thread in the Image Pickin' forum
Working on cleaning up List of Shows That Need SummaryShouldn't this be listed as trivia? From what I can tell, most tropes dealing with behind the scenes things go there, and aside from Adam Westing, tropes dealing with actors all seem to be behind the scenes.
Hide / Show RepliesWhile I do not know enough about this to have an opinion, feel free to ask here.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI wanted to add this to the entry for Recess in "Coincidences," but couldn't find anything to back it up. I thought I knew this to be the case, but I can't support the claim.
- Peter Prickly's resemblance to actor Dabney Coleman, on the other hand, was deliberate.
Can we replace the image of Jane Lynch/Calhoun with the one hotlinked in the Wreck-It Ralph Crowner page? The one where she actually wore Calhoun's costume to a taping of the Ellen Show?
I'd do it myself but I can't save the image right now and I can't add a hotlinked image to the page.
Anyone who draws, sculpts or really works any visual media will be able to tell you it's easier to create a realistic head and face with reference. It makes sense to use the voice actor for reference, plus it probably costs them nothing.
Since comic books don't have voice artists, aren't all the comic examples Not An Example by definition? That's why we have the seperate trope Comic-Book Fantasy Casting.
Edited by DaibhidCI don't think the current image is all that obvious. Maybe something with Sam Witwer and his counterpart in The Force Unleashed instead, no?
How can you have a page like this and not include Devil May Cry V, and Resident Evil 2 Remake? For shame. Hell, the RE Engine is basically built for this tropes, as they scan the entire body of the actor to use as a model, complete with outfit and all.
