Just a minor point about the intro: the majority of rapiers had a rhomboidal blade cross-section and were sharpened on the edges, making them capable of slashing (if poorly). It was the later smallsword that had a triangular blade cross-section with unsharpened edges, making for a pure thrusting sword.

"Most situations in which someone attacks with a double-edged sword and then assures that he used the flat side." doesn't make a lot of sense. What's wrong with using the flat of the blade? Not exactly efficient, but if you want to smack someone rather than cut them, you can swing the sword 'sideways'.
Hide / Show RepliesD And D resolves this: if you try to use a lethal weapon to inflict non-lethal damage, or vice-versa with a stunning weapon, there is a penalty on your dice roll.

To avoid edit war: -The Supernaturalist has an in-canon gun used to 'wrap' people: it shoots gobs of cellophane that envelop whoever gets hit, leaving a lump of the stuff if it doesn't hit anyone. -At one point the gun is used by Cosmo on a tank, shot into the barrel and destroying the mechanism. -It gets brought up how many precautions were taken to stop such a thing from working, it's an in-universe example. Should I put this into the page under Literature?
