The article starts out saying "Frequently characters will have to read something onscreen as part of the plot." But hardly any of the trope examples are related to the characters reading things onscreen.

Watch out where you step, or we'll be afoot.

I thought the trope was about signs where the last phrase started with "If you can read this..."
