I propose the Hitscan Radio be added to the list. This occurs in games such as Soldier of Fortune II in which an alarm sounds the instant the player is spotted by a guard. Contrast with games such as Metal Gear series, in which a sentry must go through the entire process of contacting their headquarters on the radio.
