Seeing as we currently lack a Laconic entry for this trope, and examples are rather limited, I am curious about the exact nature of the "hijacking."
Does the hijacking ABSOLUTELY include the use of the original's body? Is it a Mind Control trope only, or would it count if someone managed to hijack the Cthulhu's position in the story's cosmology?
e.g. A Reality Warper Big Bad elevates The Dragon to the same level of magical might as him in a time of need. The "sworn follower," uses the power to literally kick him out of reality, becomes the new Big Bad, and is far more dangerous than his former master.
Hide / Show RepliesThat's not hijacking Cthlulhu. That's just an example of a Starscream getting his way. I'd say this trope refers exclusively to Eldritch Abominations.
Edited by DaxAyrtonI say we remove the Dragonball examples. None of them involve taking control of an Eldritch Abomination, they're just dudes taking control of stronger dudes.
I propose we use this picture for this trope.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. It's already in use on Heart Is an Awesome Power so that's out unless you think it's a better fit here.
