In Saint Seiya there is a pause after Seiya hits Neptune in his forehead and then we hear Neptune's heartbeat, or better, Julian's heartbeat, as apparenty, Neptune's cosmo dissappeared as if has left his mortal incarnation. But as they ran past him, sure that Neptune was finally defeated, we hear Julian's heartbeat accelerate and then Neptune's cosmo turns back on, stronger than before because now the awekenening of the seas god is fully and complete.

Eh, anyone else think "End of the World" from Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 is an example? That honking effect that plays for the whole song?
