Huh. I see some articles using our spelling, and besides, this one is the name for the agent and "godmod(d)ing" the name of the action.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBah, I've always considered this as a misspelling of half-literate cave dwarves trying to type "god moding."
Edited by KojiroI frequently see this term come up in the context of freeform Play-by-Post Games. In a combat they might just declare that their attacks hit (or even kill) their opponent rather than waiting for them to reply with their reaction, No-Sell anything used against them, and generally play God Mode Sues.
Basically, they control the actions of other Player Characters. This is often more innocent than the videogame variety, with the player simply not realising that they're doing it (especially the "declaring opponent's reaction" variety).
This type isn't included in the definition, but I'm not sure how to go about adding it.
Edited by Prime32 Hide / Show RepliesI redid the format in such a way that it should be easier to add in different methods of god-modding.
See you in the discussion pages.
It's the same damn thing as godmoding. It's just misspelled.
