"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSo...I guess this page is for Appellations Creatively Relevant, Occasionally Nonsensical, Yet Meaningful?
Hide / Show RepliesYes, I guess it is. XD It would be great if you could incorporate that into the page somewhere.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Alternatively, I'd like to suggest Alone Characters Replacing Original Names Yields Musing Sentences
Shouldn't this page name make up an Acronym? How about Fun Acronym Games?
Hide / Show RepliesThe current title is fine. I don't think spelling FAG is very funny.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Do a person's initials count? I'm sure that would make it also a Punny Name, but here's the example:

This page is being split due to length. It has reached a size where it is in danger of causing server performance issues. See this thread for details.
To alleviate this, I split off the current content along the lines of the current folder structure. New examples should be placed in the appropriate media sub-pages.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project! No mentions to the Overly Long Gag Madao chapter from Gintama? Really?
Okay wait. The page itself says initialisms shouldn't be put on the page, but the page has Fun With Initialisms as a redirect. Why?
Hide / Show RepliesBecause the most common use of "acronym" is as a misnomer for "initialism"? Likewise, many people say "backronym" (yecch) when "acrostic" is the correct term. To put things straight; laser is an acronym, MIME (as in file type) is an acrostic (mimes existed long before computers), HTML is an initialism.
Edited by korax1214Little late, but the page has been fixed so it says initialisms are OK.
We claim the land for the highlord, God bless the land and the hiiighlooord!BASIC was originally known as the Dartmouth Oversimplified Programming Experiment. Guess why they changed it.
Hide / Show RepliesWhat a shame; I would have really liked to work with Visual Dope instead of Visual Basic in college.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.
Does anyone else feel like this trope gets really misused? Like, to refer to any fictional acronym, rather than just forced or awkward ones?
