Tetrapod insect, six legged spider, I could go on. Also, some cartoon insects have no legs at all!
May I suggest an alternate title? "Arthropods with missing limbs" Since this covers six legged crabs, and six legged spiders. Could we also mention the species of spider that looks like it has four legs? I don't know what it's called though
Hide / Show RepliesI have a couple characters that fit this description. Some are downplayed since the other two limbs are tiny and growing out of their necks. I'm also planning to zig zag this Trope, to create Furry Confusion. Even with insects that are the same species, because messing with people is fun! :D I'm not gonna give invertebrates inner skeletons (Artistic License – Biology) though, because I think that's kind of creepy, Uncanny Valley

There is a Bible verse that states insects are four-legged creatures (despite the fact they actually have six) that should be in "myths and relgion". Also, My Singing Monster has an example of this, and vertebrates with extra limbs. I.e. humbug and kazilleon. I guess that can be justified in the fact that they're monsters, and their monsters are weird
