Osamu tezuka pioneered the big eyes and this became anime/mangas main trend.So animators and manga artists followed in his footsteps using big eyes.

This page is being split due to length. It has reached a size where it is in danger of causing server performance issues. See this thread

Reading, you think more people would do it. This aint a video based site like Youtube so there aint no excuse.
There's been some misuse lately. It's when a work generates a large amount of imitators, not just one.
