There's nothing to stop you proposing it on the Real Life section maintenance
thread, which handles those decisions.
However, the 150 years is currently standard for the Cruel and Unusual Death tropes - it lets us cover examples from history without the issues that come with discussing more recent real life deaths.

I realized how dark some of these are! Do Ed, Edd, n' Eddy getting sucked down the drain count?
- A No Recent Examples rule applies to Real Life examples of this trope. Real life examples shouldn't be added until 150 years after the death.
I feel like it'd be simpler to just say "No Real Life Examples" Find the Light in the Dark Hide / Show Replies
