Several musical artists have come from the Midwest. Among them are Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, Miles Davis, Quincy Jones, Bone Thugs n Harmony, the Violent Femmes, Garbage, Smashing Pumpkins, My Morning Jacket, etc. Needless to say, Detroit is also the home of legendary Motown Records, and Cleveland hosts the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
