Probably Bullet Time, since both it and this convey super-speed but the former does it from the speedster's perspective.
"Also, don't expect the air or other surrounding objects to behave as though someone dashed by them at half the speed of light,"
Talk about not doing the research. The speed needed to 'disappear' from someone's sight has nothing to do with light, you just need to move faster than the brain can track images. In fact, a fraction of sound speed is enough.
Hide / Show RepliesSpeaking of not doing the research, the reason it makes no sense to punch while Flash Stepping is because of a lovely thing called Newton's Third Law—you'd be rebounding enough force back on your hands to shatter them into many, many little pieces.
I really want to change it but I'm not sure if I should just delete it or what.
Change it if you can make it scientifically accurate. Delete it if you can't do so. Either way, Repair Dont Respond.
See you in the discussion pages.when it is talking about dash in the incredibles can i just get rid of "If the air displacement from his movements didn't tip people off, the sonic boom should have."? with the "Also, don't expect the air or other surrounding objects to behave as though someone dashed by them at half the speed of light" in the main area, it seems both unnecessary and self explanatory. all people need to know is that there is no sonic boom (which is common in this trope and thus might not be worth putting down) and that he was going faster than the speed of sound.
What would be the opposite of this, specifically for anime? I consider it to be a pretty lame animation technique to be honest.
