I removed the example section with permission from a mod:

Mary Sue and its subcategories (with the exception of Parody Sue) are Flame Bait and do not allow examples.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.

Here's my question. Does this trope mean to imply that if a character affects a change on another character, regardless of the means, that they are a Fixer Sue? Because if so i have to raise an objection to that. People have an impact on other people both in real life and especially in fiction. Heck most shounen anime are borderline built on the affect that a hero can have on those around him or her. If however such an implication is not the intention of the article I would submit that it is in sore need of a rewording.

Any thoughts on how it could/should be reworded?

No, that is not the trope at all.

The trope is "character which is inserted by the author into a derivative story to "fix" some story happening that the author doesn't like".

How many different Sue type do Alice from Resident Evil, Suzumiya Haruhi, & Bella from Twilight fall under?

I've seen this in the Death Note fandom before; Sues sacrificing themselves to prevent L's death. I'm not that knowledgeable about the series so this might not be as popular as I think.

  • It's not just Harmonians. There are plenty of other people who can't stand Ginny.

Because that doesn't have to do with the trope and no one cares. This also doesn't really have to do with the trope:

which takes every good thing Ron has done and gives it to Rose, Hermione, Ginny, Neville, or any other character, has Rose hide virtually everything from Ron while feeling free to tell everyone else (including Hagrid), and still leaves in the canon parts where Ron screws up (leaving Rose to berate him or roll her eyes and sigh condescendingly) or praises or comes back to Rose. It's also been noted in daz_Mervin's sporking that when the author began Rose Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Ginny instantly was demoted from Rose Potter's Little Sister and Druidess Protegee (and love interest if you want to be more realistic) to a very minor character who mainly is snapped at by Rose for making fun of Fleur and replaced by Luna. This, of course, happened conveniently when the Harmonian author learned that Ginny took part in the ''terrible'' plot to seperate Harry and Hermione.

falling under Ron the Death Eater instead. But Rose is a Fixer Sue in how she bashes and then "fixes" everyone's "flaws" so I made a new example with that.

there is something agitating about people blaming sos over one mistake.
