Where is the caption from? Is that an actual quote from The Lion King? (I haven't seen it in a long time)

I'm kind of surprised that "The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi" didn't make the list, as it seems like a poster child for this trope. Perhaps it's a deeper variant in that she not only unconsciously affects the world, but created it?

This is probably not an example since Dagoth Ur has no mystical link to the land nor does the proper ruler.

• In The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, the sky over the volcano Red Mountain is full of ash and dust until the hero slays Dagoth Ur, at which point the sky clears and the diseased animals roaming the area become cured. Of course, this is mostly because Dagoth Ur caused the Blight Storms, and not because he is a Fisher King.

This is probaby not example — it would be if the Witch froze Aslan and the land froze in sympathy. But that is not how it works as I understand it: the Witch freezes the land outright with a spell.

• In The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe, the land is trapped in a winter that has lasted for one hundred years, ending when Aslan returns.
  • Although, that was a completely deliberate spell on the Witch's part, not just some sort of mystical link.

This is probably not an example — not so much a link between a ruler and their land as magic causing environmental effects.
