Title: Fish used as a helmet? I seem to remember some kind of animation (probably part of a movie) wherein a group of kids dive somewhere with the help of semi-transparent ball-like fish with an orange underbelly (through which the kids stuck their heads). It's been with me for a couple of years now and still can't seem to find it or remember enough to have someone else do. It seems interesting enough to add as a derivation of this trope though (on the same page) so I thought I'd take the chance :D
