I just noticed, but back in August of this year the image was changed from the top image to the bottom image.
May I at least ask why?
Personally I think the first image is more "to the point" in regards to describing the subject matter due to the lack of gears in the background.
Admittedly however, I'm not exactly the most unbiased source of opinion since I was the person that uploaded the top image anyway...
Edited by 173.189.106.156 Hide / Show RepliesWell, biased or not, I definitely like the top image better.
EDIT: Going through the history, looks like one guy just decided to change it with no Image Picking thread.
EDIT #2: Thread made. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=1382039554088560500&page=1#1

Hide / Show RepliesIt's coming back soon. See the C Ontent Violation Disussions forum.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
So... this page needs a lot of work.
The description has typos, awkward phrasing, poor grammar, and seems like it's trying to wax poetic but just comes across sounding like a broken translator bot.
Plus the quote is entirely in blue, incredibly long, and not that relevant. I think that's safe to cut.
Here's my attempt at a rewrite for the description:
"Exactly What It Says on the Tin, this trope is a field (or some large expansive area) filled with blades or weapons, invariably embedded in the ground.
Usually the site of a great battle, the blades may just be a symbol of the recent fighting, or be intentionally placed as a Weapon Tombstone. In either case, it almost invariably symbolizes the loss of life caused by battle, though on occasion it can be weaponized, as (symbol of desolation or not) it is still many sharp objects waiting to be used."
